Trick or Treat: Safety Tips for Halloween Night!
West Palatinate (ots)
The most exciting night of the year is just around the corner: Halloween! Tonight, children and young people will parade through the streets to get their hands on the coveted sweets - and perhaps cause a few gruesome mischiefs. But be careful! Behind the saying “Trick or treat!” There are also hidden legal consequences. Parents are asked to educate their children and inform them about the limits of practical jokes. Because not every supposed caress is harmless!
It is important that the little ones are safe when traveling. A special note: Children should not wander alone in the dark. Whether you are traveling with friends or parents, safety is top priority! They should remain visible when hunting for candy. Flashlights are your best friends. Drivers, listen up! Mindfulness is required – perhaps slowing down a gear?
Warnings for Halloween evening
The state police warn urgently: Carrying weapons or even real imitations is anything but fun. Anyone who walks around with “pretend weapons” is not only putting themselves at risk, but also others. In case of doubt, this can end in murder and result in immediate police intervention. Parents, take the warnings seriously - it's best to keep the accessories in the drawer!
If crimes occur, the police should be informed immediately on the emergency number 110. Halloween should be fun, but with sense - have fun celebrating this spooky night!
