On Wednesday morning, October 30, 2024, a dramatic accident shook Emmerich am Rhein. A 22-year-old e-scooter driver was hit by a fleeing driver on `s-Herrenberger Straße and seriously injured as he was crossing the sidewalk towards `s-Heerenberger Straße. Hit by a car that turned from the right onto the B 220, the young man fell and was immediately taken to hospital.
Driver runs away!
The unscrupulous driver, who was behind the wheel of a possibly silver Toyota during the incident on Wednesday morning, did not pay attention to the injured e-scooter driver and simply continued his journey. According to reports, the vehicle has a Polish registration, with the first letters being PC or PZ.
The police in Emmerich have started the investigation and are looking for witnesses! Anyone who can provide information about the identity of the fleeing driver or details about the vehicle is asked to contact us immediately on 02822 7830.
