On Friday, November 1st, 2024, there was an impressive speed measurement operation by the Donauwörth traffic police on the B25 federal highway near Reimlingen. Between 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., the officers showed that speeding should be exercised with caution, and not just in traffic!

In total, a whopping 150 speeding violations were detected, some of them on a worrying scale! 90 of these traffic offenders face formal charges. Particularly scandalous: A driver was caught driving at a shocking 171 km/h when only 100 km/h was allowed! For this rule-breaker, the list of consequences now includes a fine of around 1,300 euros, two points on the driving fitness register and an impending driving ban of two months.

Terribly high speeds

The appalling results of this speed control shed a bright light on the irresponsible behavior of some drivers. In total there are seven drivers who have to expect a driving ban! Both the traffic police and citizens agree: you can't drive on the road like that!
