Stuttgart East– A tragic incident occurred on Saturday morning, October 5, 2024, when three men who had just visited a bar found themselves in a dangerous situation. The 21-year-old men were leaving a restaurant on Ostendstrasse around 8:30 a.m. when they were suddenly attacked by a group with pepper spray. This aggressive act was carried out by two 26-year-old men and another fugitive accomplice.
The attacks included not only pepper spraying, but also physical attacks that resulted in the older men snatching the young guests' personal belongings. While one of the victims lost his AirPods, another lost around 100 euros in cash. Fortunately, the victims only sustained minor injuries and did not require medical treatment.
Arrests and ongoing investigations
The police were quickly on site and were able to arrest two of the suspects immediately. Investigators are still looking for the third man who has so far successfully evaded arrest. Unfortunately, a precise description of the fugitive has not yet been obtained, which makes the search more difficult.
The two arrested people were brought before a judge on Sunday, October 6, 2024. However, he decided not to order pre-trial detention, which raises questions about the legal situation.
