New police station in Bakum: Chief Inspector Meiners is happy!
Bakum shines in a new look!On Friday, August 23, 2024, the modern police station in Bakum was ceremoniously opened. The town hall moved into its new headquarters on Kirchstrasse a few months ago and the police are now following suit. Police Chief Inspector Jan-Dirk Meiners has moved into his new workplace, which immediately impresses with a positive atmosphere!
The official address remains the same: Kirchstr. 3, 49456 Bakum, and citizens can reach the station by calling 04446/959710. The new building is not only spacious and thoughtfully designed, but also offers direct access to the town hall administration. At an open day on August 24, 2024, citizens were able to admire the fresh premises and take a look behind the scenes.
A new beginning for the police
“I already felt comfortable in the former town hall, but the new rooms exceed all expectations!” beams Meiners, who has now fully settled in after the move. The light-flooded, friendly rooms are not only an asset for the police, but also an important sign of safety in Bakum. "Safety-relevant aspects were definitely taken into account during the planning. That gives me a good feeling," the police chief inspector continued.
Jörn Kreikebaum, head of the Cloppenburg/Vechta police station, is also enthusiastic: "The new premises offer ideal conditions for the work of our officers. The direct connection to the town hall enables citizens to receive support quickly and easily." He thanked Mayor Tobias Averbeck for the close cooperation during the move and wishes Jan-Dirk Meiners a successful start in his new office.
