Kiosk robbers in Bergisch Gladbach: witnesses urgently wanted!
Bergisch Gladbach (ots)
On the shocking night of Friday (November 15th), a kiosk on Schloßstraße became the target of a brazen burglar! At 2:10 a.m., a loud clink alerted the police: an unknown person had smashed the shop window with full force and shamelessly helped himself to a variety of tobacco products. Local residents, who were woken up by the deafening noise at 1:50 a.m., were horrified as they watched the perpetrator leave the kiosk with his looted loot.
Description of the perpetrator
Witnesses described the man as being around 5'7" to 6'2" tall, who cleverly hid his identity behind a black and white patterned mask. Dressed darkly, with a hood, white sneakers and light-colored gloves, he looked like a shadow of darkness! He also responded to the shouting voices of residents in dialect-free German. Despite an immediate search in the area of the crime scene, the criminal remained untouchable and was able to escape undetected.
The material damage to the smashed window is currently estimated to be in the lower four-digit range, while the value of the stolen tobacco products remained unknown at the time the complaint was filed. The police have filed a criminal complaint and are now calling on the public to come forward and provide information about this shocking incident or the fleeing perpetrator. Witnesses are asked to contact the Rhein-Berg Police Criminal Investigation Department 2 immediately on 02202 205-0. The perpetrator could still be in the area - every clue counts!
