On Friday afternoon, around 1:48 p.m., a normal day on Brückenstrasse turned into a shocking moment when the 63-year-old cyclist lay injured and helpless on the ground. What had happened? The man was riding on the bike path when two cyclists came towards him on the sidewalk. Suddenly the boy, about 10-12 years old, shot from the sidewalk onto the bike path and the catastrophe began: There was a crash and the older gentleman fell off his Pedelec!
The situation escalated quickly! The young cyclist's companion, a woman aged around 35-40, spoke only Russian and used a translation app to communicate with the injured man and a witness. But as soon as the necessary help was needed, the two of them quickly disappeared towards Goch train station. Is this the new normal on our streets?
