Five vehicles, four injured: intersection in Offenbach closed!

On Wednesday afternoon there was a serious traffic accident in Offenbach, which affected the intersection of Dietzenbacher Straße and Landesstraße 3117. At around 12.50 p.m. a total of five vehicles collided, which led to the intersection being closed from both Offenbach and Neu-Isenburg. The exact circumstances of the incident have not yet been fully clarified.

According to initial findings, two people were seriously injured and two others were slightly injured in the accident. The accident is said to have been caused when a Vito driver missed a red light and crashed into a waiting vehicle. The impact was so strong that the first car was pushed onto the waiting vehicles. The situation escalated further when one of the vehicles crossed into oncoming traffic, resulting in another collision.

Course of the accident and call for witnesses

The police have started investigating the cause of the accident and are urgently looking for witnesses who observed the incident. Witnesses can call 069 8098-5100. Meanwhile, four of the vehicles involved had to be towed away due to the severe damage.

The closure of the intersection makes the traffic situation at this point particularly tense and requires patience from drivers who want to use the affected route. Such accidents show the importance of mindfulness on the road and the potential dangers that can arise from distractions or poor decisions.
