Crime raises the alarm! In a shocking incident on Thursday, November 14, 2024, a single-family home in Burgsolms was attacked by brazen burglars. Between 3:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m., the unknown suspects broke a window and broke into the house on Lahnstrasse. They frantically searched several rooms and stole valuable jewelry and cash. The Wetzlar police are asking for information from witnesses who have noticed suspicious activity - any information could be crucial!
But that's not all! There was also a brazen trick theft in Dillenburg. An 84-year-old man had just withdrawn several hundred euros from the savings bank when he fell into a perfidious trap. When approached in front of his vehicle, the perpetrator placed a two-euro piece on his thigh and asked for a change of money. While the inexperienced pensioner reached for his wallet, the stranger quickly grabbed the freshly withdrawn banknotes and disappeared into nothingness. This brazen act happened at 11:15 a.m. The perpetrator spoke German with an accent and was possibly with a woman.

And that wasn't all! In Herborn, a 69-year-old woman also fell victim to a trickster in the Hintersand parking lot! The stranger asked her for change, and while she was distracted, he grabbed her banknotes and made off unnoticed. The perpetrator is described as around 40 years old, 185 cm tall and with a well-groomed appearance. He spoke German without an accent and was dressed in black - so be careful when changing your money!
