Wiesloch/Rhein-Neckar district– A shocking incident occurred at the cemetery on Meckesheimer Weg in Schatthausen! Between Monday, October 28th, 2024, and Thursday, October 31st, 2024, unknown perpetrators stole an impressive bronze statue from a double gravestone. This impressive statue, about one meter high and weighing a whopping 20 kg, was secured to the tombstone by sturdy steel rods - but that didn't stop the thieves from getting up to mischief!
The police estimate the theft damage to be in the low four-digit range. Such a loss is unimaginable for the relatives! The site of the crime, a cemetery, is a place of rest, and this disrespectful act raises questions. So far there is no clue as to who is behind this audacious theft. The investigators are therefore faced with the challenge of finding the perpetrators.
