Drunk driver and stolen license plates: Police take action!

Schermbeck – crime on wheels

An adventurous chase by the civil police in Schermbeck ended on Wednesday, October 23rd, 2024, with a spectacular stop that tested the nerves of everyone involved! The traffic service officers, known as ProVida, had discovered a dazzling, orange VW Golf whose driver they knew all too well - a 39-year-old man from Wesel, who was driving without a valid driver's license!

During the inspection, the full extent of his criminal activities came to light! The vehicle's license plates were reported stolen. The man's bad luck: his car was not only driving illegally, but also without registration or insurance! The police grabbed the license plates and didn't let the 39-year-old get away.

Drunk driving – a double offense!

But that wasn't all! The officers suspected that the driver was under the influence of alcohol. He was quickly escorted to the office, where a blood sample was taken. With this action, the 39-year-old is not only in trouble because of his unauthorized “journey into the unknown,” but he now has to prepare for several investigations! The consequences could be serious for him. Another example of how quick police action puts criminal activity to shame!
