Drunk driver (72) causes serious accident in Zweibrücken!

Zweibrücken – A dramatic accident shook the city on the evening of November 12, 2024! Shortly after 9 p.m., a 72-year-old Mercedes driver with alcohol in his blood raced along Ixheimer Strasse and took a risky turn on Bubenhauser Strasse. The lights were off, but the danger was at full speed! He ignored the right of way of a Ford Fiesta approaching from the right. The result? A violent collision that had devastating consequences for both vehicles!

The crash caused an estimated property damage of around 3,000 euros. But the situation wasn't just financially catastrophic - the Mercedes driver was incorrigible and careless when it came to alcohol. An on-site breath alcohol test revealed a level of almost one per mille! The police acted immediately and had a blood sample taken from the driver. His driver's license was immediately confiscated. Now he is extremely responsible because an investigation has been initiated against him for endangering road traffic.
