A tragic traffic accident occurred on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, on state road 554 between Schoningen and Verliehausen. A 19-year-old motorcyclist from Wesertal-Hisebeck in Hesse was fatally injured. The collision between him and a tractor driven by a 27-year-old man from Uslar resulted in serious injuries to the young driver, who succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the accident.
The incident happened around 4:05 p.m. when the motorcyclist was driving on the L554 towards Schoningen. The tractor driver, who was traveling in the opposite direction, attempted to turn left onto a farm road. Unfortunately, he failed to notice the approaching motorcyclist, which led to this tragic collision.
