Swiss ski men celebrate triple victory in Beaver Creek!

In Beaver Creek, Swiss skiers celebrated a remarkable weekend in the Alpine World Cup season, despite the absence of Super-G winner Marco Odermatt. On Sunday, Thomas Tumler baskted in the glory of his first World Cup success, while Justin Murisier surprised in the downhill on Friday. The Austrians, on the other hand, had a very difficult time with only a tenth place for Stefan Brennsteiner in the second giant slalom against the impressive Swiss dominance. According to reports from crown Brennsteiner was motivated by the success of his teammates, but two mistakes prevented a possible top spot.

Despite the challenges, Brennsteiner was positive about the process and remarked: “It actually went very well – except for the two huge bucks that I shot.” This positive attitude is also reflected in Tumler's career, which was in limbo after a herniated disc four years ago. The 35-year-old not only broke his sporting limits, but also talked about the motivation behind his victory and the pride in never giving up. He spoke of an “incredibly beautiful story” as he crossed the finish line with a lead of just 0.12 seconds. Odermatt, who himself had to experience another disappointment, also said that “it was a special weekend with three Swiss victories”. Messenger of ancient Switzerland reported.

The head coach of the Swiss men, Tom Stauffer, was more than satisfied with the results: “The cool thing is that there are three different winners, that’s so strong.” It remains to be seen how the upcoming events in Val d'Isère and Alta Badia go for the athletes, but the potential for future victories is promising. The team could benefit from additional emerging talent in the coming seasons who are still working on their challenges.
