rapid competitions with surprises

The events were a complete success, especially for schools in Lower Austria. The Michaela Dorfmeister Middle School Lilienfeld was chosen as the winner among the girls and lower levels. Simon Fritz, who won the individual ranking at the boys, attributed the success to the team's trust. Nelly Wieser also celebrated a magnificent victory in the girls' area. However, there was some uncertainty in the upper level of the girls when the BG Saalfelden grabbed gold. In the boys, the BG/BRG St. Pölten prevailed in an exciting race against BBS Rohrbach. Florian Zauner, a teammate, summarized the challenges in a first run: "Unfortunately, there was a little problem in the first run, a teammate fell. Then we concentrated on the second round and there was a good time again."

The event, however, went beyond the sporting competition, it was also an important social experience for the participating students. Gerhard Angerer, the specialist inspector for educational directorate in Lower Austria, emphasized that such events not only create unforgettable memories, but also promote deeper friendships. "We would like to develop further and maybe soon have snowboarders and skiers driven in a joint competition," said Angerer. Such an initiative could offer new impulses for winter sports and strengthen the community while the athletes are promoted at the state level.
