Johannes Aigner and his guide Nico Haberl continue to lead the Para-Ski World Cup and are continuing their dominance in the new year. Two downhill runs were held in Santa Caterina, which were extremely close. Aigner has successfully extended his podium streak and made a promising start to the season in Steinach/Brenner.
In the first phase of the season, Johannes Aigner distinguished himself with outstanding performances. He achieved an impressive victory in two slaloms in Tignes and also secured second place. He also won two giant slalom races in Courchevel and concluded them with a victory and another second place. His twin sister Veronika Aigner won twice in the giant slalom, while she took second place in the slalom behind her teammate Elina Stary. Barbara Aigner also showed strong performances and achieved third place in the first slalom run in Tignes.

Johannes Aigner, born April 29, 2005, is an Austrian, visually impaired para-alpine skier. His path in professional sports began with his debut at the 2021 World Para-Snow Championships. At this event, he won gold medals in the slalom and parallel event, as well as silver medals in the super-G and giant slalom.
An outstanding highlight in Aigner's career was the 2022 Paralympic Winter Games, where he won five medals, including two gold medals. Specifically, he won gold in the downhill skiing and giant slalom, as well as silver in the super combined and slalom, and secured a bronze medal in the super-G. Aigner is not alone in his sporting endeavors.
