Herbert Knaup and Samuel Finzi enchant with Dickens in the rose garden!
In the festive ambience of Mannheim's Rose Garden, the two renowned actors Herbert Knaup and Samuel Finzi performed a semi-staged reading of Charles Dickens' timeless "Christmas Story". This reading, which differed from a traditional stage fairy tale, thrilled the audience with its acting brilliance. Dickens' work, first published in 1843, is considered the most famous Christmas story in world literature and captivated those in attendance with its emotional depth and timeless message of charity and hope. As the Rhine Palatinate reported that the performance was a real highlight of this year's Christmas season.
Family spirit and acting skills
In a different but also fascinating context, RTL spoke to Herbert Knaup about his expectations of his son Samuel, who is 14 years old. Although Samuel was hesitant about pursuing a career in acting, he still found the idea “quite fun” if his father worked in this field. Herbert Knaup, known for his roles in blockbusters such as “Run Lola Run” and as Inspector Kluftinger, emphasized that he would support Samuel in his career choice, regardless of whether it is acting or another path. "I don't know what I want to study yet. I'm still undecided," said the young man candidly at a tennis tournament RTL reported.
The connection between father and son becomes clear in these special moments, whether reading a literary masterpiece or discussing the future. While Herbert Knaup has already scaled the heights of the acting business, Samuel still has open doors to think about and decide on. This dynamic between the two makes the story particularly impressive and human.
