XXXLutz takes over BRW Group: Furniture giant grows with new synergies!

The XXXLutz Group has completed the takeover of the Polish furniture retailer Black Red White Group (BRW). This important development was announced on Thursday and marks the completion of a comprehensive acquisition that had already begun in 2022 with the acquisition of 50 percent of the shares. BRW operates 82 branches, 78 of which are located in Poland, and has a network of around 300 sales partners. In total, the company employs more than 5,000 people. Lutz did not disclose any information about the purchase price, but the acquisition still needs to be approved by competition authorities, as well the Kleine Zeitung reports.

Strategic partnership and future outlook

With this complete takeover, the XXXLutz Group and BRW are intensifying their strategic partnership. The companies plan to create synergies and jointly address the challenges of online trading and the economic uncertainties in the industry, as explained by Lutz spokesman Thomas Saliger. BRW will continue to work under independent management and run its furniture production independently. Both companies are convinced that the combination of stationary retail and a strong online shop is crucial for their future success.

In the statement, BRW CEO Mariusz Sosnierz emphasizes the advantages that arise from membership in the XXXLutz Group, especially in an increasingly tough competitive environment. The managing director is convinced that this partnership offers the best conditions for further growth, while BRW will benefit from XXXLutz's large market presence in 14 European countries.
