The TBE is particularly tricky because there is no medication for the disease. The only protection is the vaccination that is recommended from the first year of life and includes basic immunization. As a rule, this vaccination should be refreshed several times to ensure optimal protection, as pediatric and adolescent doctor Kornelia Schwendtner explains. The vaccination costs for adults are over 42 euros, for children almost 48 euros. However, inexpensive vaccination campaigns are offered by certain magistrates or district administration. The dangers of the ticks
