Potsdam celebrates: First Christmas baby 2024 is called Leonardt!

Potsdam, Deutschland - in Potsdam there was a very special event on Christmas Eve: The little Leonardt saw the light of the world at 3:22 p.m. in the "Ernst von Bergmann" clinic and was thus the first Christmas baby in 2024 in the clinic, like The Tagesspiegel reported. The proud parents from the city can hardly believe their luck - her son weighs 3290 grams and is 49 centimeters tall. The joy of the "little Christmas miracle" is great, and both mother and child are well and already recover from the birth.

midwife Lea, which worked in the delivery room on this special day, commented on the event: "The birth of a child is always a unique moment, and if this still coincides with the festive mood of Christmas, it makes this moment all the more magical." It was not just Leonardt who was born that day - a total of two children were born in the clinic, like reported. While 335 babies were born in Potsdam in the third quarter of 2024, this is generally a little lower than in the previous year.
