Gönrgy is expanding: sugar variants start today – the new flavors!
Gönrgy, the energy drink from popular influencer MontanaBlack, has achieved considerable success in a short period of time. With over 58 million units sold since entering the market two years ago, the company recently achieved a market share of 2.4 percent. This puts Gönrgy in fourth place among energy drink brands in Germany, as reported by Nielsen. The company is now focusing on strategic expansion and will launch sugary variants on June 5, 2025 in order to open up a larger segment in the highly competitive energy drinks market.
The new flavors of the sugary Gönrgy are Mango Slam, Paradise Punch and Kaktus Kick, all of which are also available in a sugar-free version. The new variants are now available from major retailers such as REWE, Kaufland and EDEKA, and other sales partners such as Globus, Famila and HIT! will follow soon.
Strategic expansions and marketing
Gönrgy also has a market share of 11.6 percent in the zero segment, which is significant in a market currently dominated by sugary drinks. In order to increase the visibility of the brand, Gönrgy is planning an extensive marketing offensive. This includes, among other things, the national TV and out-of-home campaign, which starts in July 2025 with a gross media volume of over 2 million euros. A highlight was the XMAS event 2.0 in December 2024, which is considered the most viewed German Twitch stream of the year with 1.53 million viewers.
MontanaBlack, who is known for his merch shop and his over 20 million followers on various platforms, sees the expansion into the energy drink business as an important step in the further development of his brand. For the launch of Gönrgy, the influencer even traveled to Frankfurt in a helicopter, the cost of which was 8,000 euros.
