Schuhbeck in great distress: criminal trial for fraud and bankruptcy!
Landsberg am Ammersee, Deutschland - The big chef Alfons Schuhbeck faces severe allegations that bring him to court again. The indictment includes bankruptcy in nine cases, in four cases, attempted fraud in five cases and subsidy fraud in a whopping 19 cases. Among other things, Schuhbeck is incorrectly requested to have applied for corona-super aids and bridging aids of 460,000 euros. This goes from the reports from Kleine Zeitung and AUGSBURGER point out.
New process starts in June
The trial against the 75-year-old will begin on June 24th at the Munich I District Court. The negotiation should only last for four days, with a judgment already expected on July 14th. Schuhbeck, who is already in prison from 2023 due to tax evasion in the millions, could now expect another long prison sentence. The public prosecutor estimates the likelihood of a conviction as high because it assumes that the big chef knowingly gave wrong information to receive state aid. Schuhbeck has not yet said to the matter and is defended by his lawyers, who reject numerous allegations as hasty.
The allegations against Schuhbeck weigh much more heavily than in his first process. At that time he had presented himself as an unfortunate but talented cook, while he is now a potential criminal who intentionally damaged his company and his believer. The situation has reversed: Instead of a victim of the Corona measures, as he previously argued, he is now seen as someone who has deliberately avoided the law. If the court is particularly severe, Schuhbeck threatens a prison sentence of at least five years, which could damage its previously glorified image as a cook and entrepreneur.
