Talented Lorenz Szladits will stay at SK Rapid Hütteldorf until 2027!

SK Rapid Wien has taken a promising step into the future by retaining talented homegrown player Lorenz Szladits on a long-term basis. How Laola1 reported, the 18-year-old midfielder's contract has been extended until summer 2027. Szladits joined the Rapid academy in 2013 and has since made a name for himself in the club's youth teams. In the current season he is playing in the ADMIRAL 2nd league and has already made nine appearances for the second representative, as well as two games in the UEFA Youth League.

Markus Katzer, sports director of SK Rapid, was enthusiastic about Szladits' development: "Lorenz is a player who is moving forward and was able to establish himself in the ADMIRAL 2nd league in the autumn of last year." Katzer is convinced that Szladits can still achieve great success in his position in central midfield. The player himself is also happy about the contract extension: "I am very happy to continue to be part of SK Rapid. My big goal is to establish myself in the first team at some point," said Szladits, who has been playing for the club since he was a child and now has the chance to further demonstrate his skills.

The decision to tie Szladits to the club until 2027 shows SK Rapid's long-term commitment to relying on young talent and supporting their development. This positive development is also expressed in Katzer's words, who focus on the club's efforts to train and integrate talented players. This is a clear step in the right direction for SK Rapid to remain competitive in football in the future, as well League portal emphasized.
