SV Ried celebrates championship – Guntamatic leaves after 9 years!

SV Guntamatic Ried, newly crowned champions of the 2nd league, has separated from its main and name sponsor Guntamatic after nine successful years. This decision was made public in an official release on Thursday. The company has therefore waived the possibility of extending the sponsorship contract for another two years in order to help the club to sustainably improve its economic basis.

Guntamatic managing director Günther Huemer explained the decision as an opportunity for realignment for the club. During the nine-year partnership, Guntamatic contributed significantly to SV Ried's successes, including two championship titles in the 2nd Bundesliga (2020 and 2025) and four years in the 1st Bundesliga as well as a cup final in 2022. This support was crucial for the club's economic foundation.

SV Ried thanked Guntamatic for their support over the years, especially in difficult times. Club president Thomas Gahleitner highlighted the commitment of Guntamatic and its managing director and announced a joint championship celebration, despite the separation from the long-standing sponsor. A new main sponsor will be presented shortly.
