Patrick Vieira sacked: Genoa desperately looking for victory!
On November 1, 2025 it will be announced that Patrick Vieira is no longer the coach of the Italian first division club Genoa. The decision was announced on Saturday after the team remained winless in its last nine league games, leaving it in last place in Serie A. Vieira, who took over the club the previous November, managed to save Genoa from relegation but could not avert their current misery. The former Arsenal captain had previous coaching experience at various clubs including New York City FC, OGC Nice, Crystal Palace and Racing Strasbourg. This marks the end of an era in which Vieira caused a stir in the Italian league.
Vieira was known for his leadership qualities on and off the field. His familiarity with international football and success in various leagues have earned him a respectable reputation. There was great hope at Genoa that he could lead the club back on the road to success. Despite the positive initial phase, the project ended in disappointment.

NBA Media Agreements 2024-2036
In parallel with these developments, the NBA has made great strides in its media contracts. The league has renewed its partnership with The Walt Disney Company and entered into new agreements with NBCUniversal and Amazon, effective from the 2025-26 season through the 2035-36 season. These new contracts are a step toward significantly maximizing the reach and accessibility of NBA games. Adam Silver, NBA Commissioner, has emphasized that these agreements will help make the games more accessible to fans.
Under the new media deals, NBA games will be broadcast on ABC/ESPN, NBC/Peacock and Prime Video. Disney will show approximately 80 NBA regular season games per season, including more than 20 games on ABC. NBCUniversal plans to broadcast up to 100 games, while Amazon will stream 66 games via Prime Video. A central element is the NBA app, which will act as a universal access point for all national games on the platforms. This will be particularly important for fans who can expect a higher number of regular season games.
The NBA is optimistic about the future and is positioning itself as one of the leading leagues in sports broadcasting and fan engagement.
