Festival of Films: 'Anora' triumphs at the Independent Spirit Awards!
On February 23, 2025, the Independent Spirit Awards were presented for the 40th time, and the big winner of the evening was the film “Anora”. The film, made on a budget of less than $30 million, triumphed in several major categories, including Best Picture, Best Director for Sean Baker and Best Actress in a Leading Role for Mikey Madison. Baker prevailed against prominent competition such as Brady Corbet and Demi Moore Small newspaper reported.
