On Monday afternoon, March 10, 2025, a serious traffic accident occurred on the A2 Südautobahn, which slightly injured four children in the age groups of 2, 5, 9 and 11 years. Loud orf.at The 37-year-old driver from the Weiz district was traveling south with his children when he left the road shortly before the Graz-Ost motorway exit for reasons that are still unclear. After initial care was provided by the rescue team, the children were taken to the pediatric surgery department at the LKH Graz, while the father remained uninjured. A rescue helicopter was even requested to support the rescue operation. However, this did not land as the injured were ultimately transported in an ambulance.
