A serious traffic accident occurred on May 26, 2024 on the B320 in the municipality of Aich (Austria), in which several people were injured. At 11:41 a.m., the “Florian Liezen” operations control center alerted extensive emergency services after the initial report spoke of a bus accident with burning vehicles. On site it turned out that it was a head-on collision between two cars, in which three occupants were injured, some seriously. The accident occurred around 11:30 a.m. when a 49-year-old German woman was traveling with her husband (52) from Liezen towards Schladming. For reasons that are still unclear, she ended up on the left side of the road and collided head-on with the car of a 69-year-old East Styrian woman who was driving from Schladming towards Liezen. While the Germans were taken to Schladming Hospital with injuries of an unspecified degree, the 69-year-old suffered serious injuries and was flown to the UKH Salzburg in a rescue helicopter.
