Serious traffic accident on the A27: four injured and massive traffic jams!

This afternoon there were dramatic traffic accidents on the A27 motorway near Cuxhaven, in which a total of four people were seriously injured. At around 1 p.m. two cars collided between the Bremerhaven-Überseehafen and Debstedt junctions. A vehicle crashed into the side guard rail and landed on its roof, while the 46-year-old driver of the car was seriously injured. The second car crashed into the center guard rail, with the 89-year-old driver and his 83-year-old passenger also being seriously injured, they report Wesermarsch district newspaper.

A few minutes after the first two accidents, another incident occurred: an 82-year-old man came off the road in a construction site between Altenwalde and Nordholz and overturned his vehicle. The fire department had to free the injured driver from the car. Police closed the highway in both directions, causing significant traffic delays, such as NDR reported. The exact causes of the accidents are currently unclear and investigations are ongoing.

In another incident in Neuenkirchen, a 17-year-old was involved in a traffic accident with his Microcar. While turning left, he overlooked an oncoming car, which led to a collision in which the microcar was thrown into another car. The slightly injured 17-year-old was lucky in the accident, while four were seriously injured in the other accidents.
