A serious traffic accident shook the Kremstalstrasse B139 in the Linz-Land district on February 19, 2025. Two people were damaged in the collision between a car and a small van. The accident occurred around 8:55 a.m. during early traffic. A 63-year-old truck driver wanted to turn right onto the A1 freeway driveway towards Salzburg when the 82-year-old driver driving behind him and his 78-year-old wife clamped onto the stern of the standing truck, as fireworld.at reported.

The impact was of such force that the 82-year-old was seriously injured and had to be flown to the Kepler University Hospital in Linz with the “Christophorus” rescue helicopter. His wife also suffered serious injuries and had to be freed from the vehicle by the fire brigade's emergency services. Both injuries were brought to hospitals after the primary care by the emergency services.
