After veterinary care, the mare was able to return to its owner. Tragically, this is not the first time that animals get into such dangers; The pasture east, which was originally intended to protect the animals, often turn out to be dangerous, especially if they are covered with snow or are used in other unfavorable conditions.
Problem of the Weideroste
These grids are intended to prevent cows and horses from escaping from the alpine pasture, but animals and humans repeatedly injure themselves due to the risks associated with it. The circumstances of the last accidents often remain unclear, but it is obvious that the security measures are not always sufficient. Especially during the winter months, when snow hides the grille, riders and animals are involuntarily exposed to great dangers. Experts advise you to be particularly careful and find out about the conditions of the Weideroste to prevent such incidents in the future.
