At 8:20 a.m., a 54-year-old German was driving towards Gmünd when, for an unknown reason, he crossed into the oncoming lane in a tight right-hand bend. Luckily, he and his following biker friends were quickly rescued. The man was found about 500 meters downstream and received immediate emergency medical care before he was flown by RK 1 rescue helicopter to Klagenfurt Hospital with unspecified injuries. The B 99 was closed while the accident was being investigated, which significantly affected traffic. Klick Kärnten reports on the incident.
