Warehouse fire in Ingolstadt: Fire brigade fights against black clouds of smoke
On April 1, 2025, around 5:00 p.m. in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, a striking warehouse fire in the Kälberschütstraße. The integrated control center received several calls, which informed about the fire, which resulted in immediate measures to alert the inspection service and the fire brigade's fire truck. In addition, the volunteer fire brigades from Rothenturm, Ringsee, our lord, city center and etting were integrated into the forces.
The fire brigade that initially arrived identified a black -rising column of smoke. This led to an initial external fire -fighting attack, while the extinguishing measures were intensified with the arrival of the fire truck and other volunteer fire departments. In addition to the external fire -fighting attack, a targeted operating tour from the inside over several hall entrances was also necessary.
emergency services and difficulties
Despite the rapid reaction of the fire brigades, the extinguishing work was made significantly more difficult by the massive smoke spread and the size of the building. In the middle of the dangerous conditions, the emergency services managed to find a person in a smoke -free part of the building that was immediately handed over to the emergency services. Two large fans of the Audi fire brigade were alerted for the effective smoke extraction of the building.
fire protection statistics and prevention measures
As a result of the operation, the importance of efficient fire protection measures is again pointed out. The VfDB has compiled in publications how important it is to evaluate statistics in fire protection in order to minimize future fire risks. Studies and annual reports show that preventive measures and regular training of the fire brigades can improve the effectiveness of operations.
The current situation in Ingolstadt represents a further proof of the need that both professional and voluntary fire departments are well prepared and equipped. This is not only relevant for the missions, but also for the clarification and prevention of fires in the future.
