Great fire in Asendorf: barn suffers 350,000 euros in damage!

A major fire completely destroyed a barn in the municipality of Asendorf, Diepholz district, on Sunday night. The property damage amounts to an estimated 350,000 euros. Fortunately, this incident remained completely injury -free.

At 3:30 a.m. the first firefighters were alerted. Over 130 emergency services from seven different local fire brigades immediately moved out to the fire site, but the barn was already in full fire when the first firefighters arrived. Fortunately, the emergency services were successfully prevented from spreading the flames to a neighboring residential building.

The fire brigade had to deal with numerous challenges, including the water supply in the rural area. In order to provide sufficient extinguishing water, several tank fire vehicles were used and long hose line had to be laid. In addition to a car, two larger vehicles, including a motorhome, were housed in the barn, which were completely destroyed by the fire. The post -extinguishing work is expected to continue until morning.

The police have started the cause of the fire, which is currently still unclear. In addition, an adjacent district road was completely blocked during the operation. As a precaution, the building yard provided road salt to prevent the emergency services from slipping.
