With a new turning ladder that extends to the hub height of the Ferris wheel, brave passengers were saved from the gondolas. Simon Tigges, the fire and disaster protection inspector, directed the commitment and explained how important it is to act quickly and safely in such situations. "The people are anxious, the gondolas can turn. So we can get in directly, secure people and then enable them to exceed," said Tigges. A brave firefighter climbed to the top gondola on a permanently attached ladder and secured the person concerned with a special lifeguard before roping them down. The spectators were enthusiastic and applauded loudly for the brave rescuers!

The Pirmasens volunteer fire brigade consists of around 130 committed emergency services that are available around the clock.
