On August 26, 2025, the Mallnitz fire department went on a special trip to the Lavanttal, in which 32 participants took part. The event began in the morning under the leadership of chief organizer Hannes “Leo” Angermann and comradeship leader Michael Schmölzer. The local fire brigade commander Anda Untergantschnig warmly welcomed the participants and introduced the day.
The first highlight of the day was a breakfast together in the “Dorfleben” grocery store in Napplach, followed by an exciting trip to the Drau. The raft trip, which was the central element of the event, took place here. The participants were able to get to know the river landscape from a new perspective and experience the motto “DRAUFLOS(S)” up close.
Raft trip through nature
The raft trip led from Rabenstein to Unterdrauburg in Slovenia and back.
