Fire brigade Lassee: State -of -the -art technology in use for faster help!
For the Lassee volunteer fire brigade, there is now a reason to be happy! In an impressive handover, the district fire brigade command Gänserndorf, led by Georg Schicker, provided a state -of -the -art thermal imaging camera. This top-technical equipment will be stationed at the Lassee fire brigade in the future and will come directly from the district's funds. Mayor Norbert Klein and Commandant Martin Schreiner were also present at the ceremonial event, who urged the importance of this purchase for the emergency services. The thermal imaging camera is crucial in order to quickly discover hidden embers during fire inserts and will also be indispensable when searching for people. With this new technology, the efficiency of the operations is significantly increased and the safety of the firefighters is improved.
While the fire brigade Lassee is preparing for the new technical possibilities, it has worked hard in extreme weather conditions in the past few days. As govserv.org , the fire brigade had to be almost continuously deployed due to heavy rain. A total of 60 missions were handled by the last report, whereby the main tasks consisted of pumping out flooded basement and eliminating fallen trees. The location in the lake area was particularly critical, where large quantities of water build up in the fields and penetrate into residential buildings. On top of that, sandbags were filled continuously to protect the population.
tireless use of the fire brigade
on Sunday, the climax of the missions, Mayor Roman Bobits was on site to get an idea of the situation and to thank the fire brigade members for their tireless efforts. Two members of the fire brigade helped with tractors and pumps to relieve the trigger of the rainwater canal, which was about to overflow. Thanks to the support of the market town and the Schönfeld fire department, it was possible to successfully master so many missions. The commitment of the local population, which helped to fill sandbags, was also very thanks. Now the Lassee volunteer fire brigade will continue to be active in the disaster area to support the difficult clean -up work.
