Volunteer fire chief Manfred Foltin: A life's work for Sollenau!

The Sollenau fire department and the Wiener Neustadt district management mourn the loss of their valued comrade Manfred Foltin, who died on February 13, 2025. Foltin had been a committed member of the Sollenau Volunteer Fire Department since 1979 and held important leadership positions. In 2016, he took over the management of department 4 (supply) in the state management team. Particularly noteworthy is his appointment as “Chief of Staff” in the Wiener Neustadt district management team in 2017, a role that he carried out with heart and great commitment until the end NOEN reported.

Significant leadership structure

The District Fire Department Command (BFÜST) plays a central role in coordinating information and public relations during disasters or larger operations. In such situations, the command staff supports the district fire chief in organizing and carrying out tasks.
