Volunteering in action: Fire Brigade Krieglach inspires at the military assembly!
Krieglach, Österreich - On February 22, 2025, the 124th military assembly of the Freißnitz volunteer fire brigade took place in Krieglach. An impressive review of the year 2024 was presented in the form of a film. The 106 active members of the fire brigade were involved in a total of 126 missions, exercises and events. In total, an incredible 18,165 voluntary hours were raised to ensure the security of the population, as fireworld.at . The commander, Eder-Schützenhofer, and the Mayor Di Stumpwieser paid tribute to the performance of the fire brigade comrades and expressed the desire to have as few missions as possible, with the health of the emergency services first. important training and preparation
In the meantime, the annual event of the "Technical Aid Days" in Zirl, which is an outstanding training initiative, has been organized in Austria since 2010. Realistic traffic accident scenarios are replenished, which the participating rescue teams have to successfully process. This challenge is not considered a competition, but offers the teams the opportunity to recognize individual potential for improvement and to receive feedback together with the referees and accident actors.The "technical assistance days" represent a valuable platform in order to test the knowledge and cooperation between the rescue teams under real conditions. This not only promotes the routine of the teams, but also the security in critical situations, which is of great importance for the population.
