Dramatic events in Vienna: Injured woman and fire in apartment building!
Early on Friday morning, February 14th, an alarming emergency call was made from an apartment building in Vienna-Währing. A resident of the house discovered a 30-year-old woman in the stairwell who was seriously injured and unresponsive. Paramedics rushed to the scene and gave the woman medical treatment before she was taken to hospital with life-threatening cuts. The Vienna State Criminal Police Office has taken over the investigation, but it remains unclear whether there was a violent crime, as the police announced. There is currently no further information about the condition of the injured.
Fire causes serious injuries
In another incident, there was a fire in an apartment in the same building in Vienna-Liesing on Sunday, in which a 68-year-old tenant was seriously injured. The fire department was able to intervene quickly and extinguish the fire quickly after the residents were evacuated by the professional fire department and the police. The 68-year-old received emergency medical help and was also taken to hospital. During the operation, Anton-Baumgartner-Straße was temporarily closed to make access easier for emergency services. According to current findings, third-party negligence, such as this, is ruled out crown reported.
The two incidents in the same area of the city raise questions and the investigation is in full swing. While the background to the violent incident in the staircase is still unclear, the causes of the fire in Liesing do not appear to affect third parties, which does not make the situation any less worrying. The Vienna police are keeping the public updated on both cases to clarify further details.
