Horror series Hameln”: audience ratings divide the nation!
The horror series “Hameln” premiered on television and in the media library on December 30, 2025. The series, which consists of a total of six episodes, was partly filmed in Hameln and therefore shows many well-known places, which arouses great interest, especially among viewers from Hameln and the Weserbergland dewezet.de reported.
All episodes are available in the ZDF media library and will also be broadcast on ZDFneo on January 12th and 19th at 8:15 p.m. However, opinions on the quality of the series are divided: positive comments praise the plot and the actors' performance, while critics criticize "wooden dialogue" and a confusing story. Some viewers also compare the series with other TV formats and films, such as “Zombie and Back to the Future” or “The Three Question Marks”. The horror factor is perceived differently: While some find the series to be “violent” and “brutal”, others do not see it as real horror.
