Golden award for Lavamünder beekeepers – a honey dream comes true!
LAVAMUND. At this year's honey award ceremony organized by the Carinthia State Beekeeping Association, six members of the Lavamünd Beekeeping Association were awarded gold. The award winners include the well-known beekeepers Erwin Gutschi, Herbert Hantinger as well as the couple Franz and Gaby Loibnegger, Kevin Pansi and Rene Riegler. “The awards show the high quality of our honey, which is also appreciated by consumers,” said the association’s chairman, Franz Loibnegger. This goes hand in hand with the encouraging commitment of the younger generation of beekeepers who keep the craft alive.
Christmas traditions worldwide
In December, many people are already feeling the festive excitement. The month is characterized by various traditions that are celebrated differently in different countries. So many languages, so many wondrous sayings! The English phrase “You make Christmas merrier” expresses how important one person can be to the festive spirit. Meanwhile, in France, extravagant clothing is often commented on with the phrase “Ressembler à un sapin de Noël”. On the other hand, those who gather the family at Christmas follow the Italian advice: “A Natale con i tuoi, a Pasqua con chi vuoi,” which means that Christmas is for family and Easter for friends.
Such expressions enrich Christmas communication and give the celebrations a special shine. Enthusiastic celebrations and profound customs make this month very special. The Epiphany-celebrated “Feliz Día de Reyes” in Spain also showcases the diverse cultural differences during the holiday, all honoring the central theme of community and togetherness.
