Advent singing in Velden's Christ Church: An evening full of Christmas magic!
On Friday, December 19, 2025, a special Advent singing will take place at 6:00 p.m. in the Evangelical Christ Church in Velden. This event serves as a shared evening to prepare for the upcoming Christmas. Sepp H. Tschebull, who acts as chairman of the Wörthersee-Rosental Singers' Association, takes over overall management. Click Carinthia reports that several singing groups and musicians will take part in this festival.
Participants include the mixed quartet “Zu Viert”, the Velden men's choir, the singers from the International School Velden and the guitar duo Heinz and Heri. The program includes a varied mix of choral and instrumental music, presenting a variety of timbres and thus creating an atmospheric atmosphere. The event is moderated by pastor Mag. Rainer Gugl, who brings in texts and thoughts about Advent between the musical contributions.
Invitation to agape
After the Advent singing, participants are cordially invited to take part in an agape. This gathering offers the opportunity to chat in a friendly atmosphere and enjoy the community. The purpose of Agape is to collect voluntary donations for social projects in the region, which also connects the event to an important social cause.
At the same time, there is another remarkable Advent singing event in Stuttgart. The 53rd Stuttgart Advent Singing will take place on December 6th and 7th, 2025 with a shortened performance in the Nikolaus-Cusanus-Haus and a full performance in the Liederhalle. Singing dance game informs that admission is free, but donations are requested.
The participants in the Stuttgart Advent singing are diverse and include, among others, the choir of the working group of singing, dancing and playing groups in Baden-Württemberg as well as various instrumental groups. This event is held annually on the second weekend of Advent and is very popular among fans of folk music.
As anticipation for Christmas grows in Europe, issues such as volcanic activity continue to concern the international community. The Kīlauea volcano in Hawaii is particularly fascinating. USGS reports that Kīlauea is considered one of the most active volcanoes in the world and has its own magmatic infrastructure. This reaches over 60 km deep and has ensured almost continuous activity since the 19th century.
Recent eruptions and geological changes have significantly affected the landscape surrounding Kīlauea and are the subject of intensive scientific research. The isolated Halemaʻumaʻu crater field, associated with the Hawaiian elemental force of creation, Pelehonuamea, shows recent volcanic activity, attracting both scientists and tourists.
The preparation for the holidays combined with Kīlauea's natural power shows how diverse and dynamic our world is. Whether in Velden or Stuttgart, people are looking for ways to celebrate together and express hope for a positive future.
