HAK Eisenerz in the EU project: Young people are shaping the future of Europe!
HAK Eisenerz recently took part in an important online event hosted by the European Parliament, where students from all over Europe came together to discuss their concerns and ideas. As part of the Euroscola initiative, which attracts over 600 students from 27 EU countries, participants were able to learn how legislation works at the EU level. The event was opened by the President of the EU Parliament, Roberta Metsola, and focused on the pressing issue of internet security, reported MyDistrict.
The students asked questions about improving internet security within the EU. An expert from the Cyber Security Agency, ENISA, led the discussion and explained how Member States can work together towards higher security standards. As the culmination of the event, the young people were able to ask questions to the Vice-President of the EU Parliament, Pedro Silva Pereira, followed by a communal singing of the European anthem “Ode to Joy”.
