Digital X in Vienna: Experience the future of digitalization up close!

On April 10, 2025, the Vienna Stadthalle will take place“Digital X”instead, a future trade fair that will be held outside of Germany for the first time. The initiative from T-Systems, Magenta Telekom and Telekom Security aims to promote innovation, networking and shaping the economic future. Werner Kraus, CCO of Business Magenta Telekom, emphasizes the need to show the opportunities of digitalization for companies and create optimism. This was also done by leadersnet.at reported.

Vienna was chosen because the city has a dynamic economy and is home to several Deutsche Telekom companies. The focus of the trade fair includes future-oriented topics such as the future of work, networked working, cybersecurity and sustainability. Visitors can experience innovative technologies, such as interacting with an AI avatar in the so-called “Ava Tunnel” or taking part in a cybersecurity masterclass.

Insight into the program

In addition to inspiring keynotes from renowned speakers such as Yaël Meier, Hanno Settele and Simon Pierro, the program also offers interactive master classes on various topics. Jürgen Hirsch and Martin Moldaschl from T-Systems will host a master class entitled “AI, Cloud & Chaos: Future or Risk?” lead, which deals with AI integration and the technical challenges of the EU AI Act. In an increasingly digital world, cybersecurity aspects play a crucial role. PwC reports that regulatory requirements for companies are gaining momentum in Europe, especially in light of increasing cyber threats. Companies are already reporting an impact of government regulations on their cyber spending, which also underlines the themes of the trade fair.

Magenta Telekom invests 300 million euros in digital infrastructure every year to meet increasing data traffic and technology requirements. The investments also include smart city projects and innovative solutions for monitoring critical infrastructure.

“Digital X” is therefore not just a trade fair, but also a platform to make the digital future tangible and to support companies on their way to digital transformation. This shows that digitalization is not only a challenge, but also a significant opportunity.
