In the exciting basement duel of the MV football association league, MSV Pampow was finally able to record its first win of the season on December 7th, 2024. The team won 2-1 against FC Förderkader Rene Schneider. Kevin Looks opened the game with a goal in stoppage time in the first half (45th), followed by Dominic Schnabl, who increased the score to 2-0 immediately after the restart (47th). Despite a goal from Bjarne Böhm for the Rostock guests in the 75th minute, the match ended with a deserved win for Pampow, which sends the team into the winter break with a positive feeling, as von NDR reported.
Complete first half of the season and challenges
The first match days of the season were anything but pleasant for Pampow. After five games, the team remained without a win and found itself in the bottom half of the table. Coach Paul Stubbe summed up the difficult phase: "We had a lot of good chances, but couldn't take advantage of them, which cost us a lot of points." The players were particularly stressed by bitter defeats and the feeling that they were not exploiting their full potential. The situation called for a powerful change, which the last two games may have heralded with the victory over the FC Förderkader Northern Courier noted.
MSV Pampow has now focused on targeted preparation for the coming second half of the season. With the away game against the top team Malchower SV in February, they will face the first challenge on the way to stabilizing the team. It remains to be seen whether the players can carry the positive energy from their last win into the second half of the season.
