Wolfgang Borst: Hofheim honors a mayor with heart and vision

At a ceremonial meeting of the city council, Wolfgang Borst was made an honorary citizen of the city of Hofheim. The master electrician and entrepreneur served as mayor for three terms - from 2005 to 2023. New mayor takes the helm

With an impressive election result of 87 percent, Alexander Bergmann succeeded Wolfgang Borst as mayor of Hofheim on Sunday. Bergmann, who will take office on February 9, 2023, promises to work on expanding renewable energy and improving digital infrastructure. In his speech, he thanked the voters for their trust and promised to listen to citizens' concerns. Special priority will be given to maintaining the indoor swimming pool and the schools in the city.
