Well -tempered: Molfsee shows the future of sustainable building!

Molfsee.A new highlight in the Molfsee open -air museum: The exhibition "Well -tempered. For more climate -friendly architecture" has opened and runs until November 2, 2025! Schleswig-Holstein's Minister of the Interior, Sabine Sütterlin-Waack (CDU), was among the first guests and was enthusiastic about the innovative approaches for sustainable building.

In this fascinating exhibition, central questions about the future of building and living are raised. What if we don't rely on ever more complex technology, but focus on the basics of design? Museum director Kerstin Poehls emphasizes: "Without a built environment, we cannot imagine a life." Visitors can look forward to exciting topics, such as the optimal placement of heaters or the importance of variable ceiling heights.

A look at the building culture

In the core of the exhibition, there are over 50 impressive examples of traditional building culture from all over Europe, which have been put together by renowned architects. These are presented in a large -scale “Atlas” that prepares the structural principles visually and informatively. The exhibition is a takeover from the architecture museum in Ljubljana and was previously shown in the Slovenian pavilion of the architecture Biennale in Venice. Here in Molfsee, however, a direct connection to the historical buildings of the open -air museum is established.

Minister Sütterlin-Waack emphasizes: "The exhibition is devoted to a very important and very current topic: building sustainable and climatic rights." It invites you to think about the change in the construction sector and offers a bridge between the past and the future of building. There are guided tours for all interested parties every first Sunday of the month, and clay workshops are planned in summer. The exhibition is a must for everyone who is interested in the future of building!
