Christmas magic in Halle: trees and markets despite austerity plans!
The Christmas season is just around the corner and Halle is getting festive! Despite initial austerity plans that jeopardized the installation of small Christmas trees in city neighborhoods, there was resistance. Clubs and initiatives supported the tradition, and the city heard! This year there will again be Christmas trees in various parts of the city, and residents are invited to celebrate and decorate together. The festive activities begin on Thursday, November 29, 2024, in the Silberhöhe district.
The neighborhood management has put together an exciting program! Here are the highlights of the tree decorating campaigns:
Festive tree decorating activities
- Silberhöhe: Am Freitag, 29. November, vor dem Gesundheitszentrum Silberhöhe. Von 9:30 bis 10:15 Uhr und 14:30 bis 15:30 Uhr wird mit selbstgemachter Dekoration der Kitas „Kunterbunt“ und „Däumelinchen“ geschmückt. Um 15 Uhr sorgt der Chor der „Kindersingakademie der Stadt Halle“ für musikalische Unterhaltung.
- Vogelweide: Am Montag, 2. Dezember, am Gagarin-Denkmal um 14 Uhr. Hier wird die Kita „Einstein“ und die Horte Auenschule und St. Franziskus mit ihrer Deko aktiv. Bürgermeister Egbert Geier wird ebenfalls anwesend sein!
- Freiimfelde: Am Donnerstag, 5. Dezember, am Betriebshof Freiimfelder Straße um 10 Uhr. Die Kita „Sonnenschein“ bringt ihre kreative Deko mit, und für alle gibt es Schokolade, Plätzchen und Tee!
- Trotha: Am Donnerstag, 5. Dezember, an der Endhaltestelle von 15 bis 15:30 Uhr. Kitas aus Trotha zeigen ihre selbstgemachten Dekorationen.
- Heide Nord: Am Freitag, 6. Dezember, in der Heideringpassage von 15:30 bis 16 Uhr. Hier werden die Kitas und die Grundschule im Stadtteil mit ihren Deko-Ideen aktiv.
In addition, the district management invites you to three festive Christmas markets: in Heide-Nord on December 12th from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., in the medical district on the same day from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and in Büschdorf at the senior residence, Franz-Maye-Straße 27, on December 14th from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. A feast for the senses that ignites the anticipation of Christmas in Halle!
