Christmas market in Weißwasser: glamorous glass art and a festive mood!

Weißwasser. A festive highlight is imminent! From 5 to December 8th, the Glasmacherstadt Weißwasser transformed into a winter wonderland. The Christmas market, which takes place for the fifth time on the site of a former glass factory, promises a unique experience. The organizers, the City association and the socio -cultural center Telux (SKZ) have put together an exciting program that goes far beyond the usual Christmas market level.

Visitors can look forward to fascinating glassmakers demonstrations, including the artistry of Lauschaer Glas and a talented Czech artist, who creates magical glass jewelry. Especially for the little guests there is the opportunity in a glass workshop to become creative under the guidance of Stölzle Glas Lausitz and paint glass. Frank Schwarzkopf, the head of the city association, emphasizes: "We hardly had the range of glass in previous years." This variety makes the Christmas market in Weißwasser a special goal for visitors from Bautzen, Cottbus and beyond.

The organizers rely on creative offers, supported by committed high school students from the Landau-Gymnasium Weißwasser and the training company Rodig. There is a lot to discover, be amazed and buying around the market, which increases the anticipation for the festive season. A special highlight will be the first appearance of Katja Dietrich as the new mayor of Weißwasser, who will cut the Glasmacher stollen on December 5. In addition, the big Advent singing will take place on the first day of the market and the visitors will put a festive mood.
